St Hilary’s Awarded Prep School of the Year 2020

St Hilary’s Prep School and Nursery, based in the centre of Godalming, is delighted to announce that they have been selected as The Independent Prep School of the Year 2020. 

St Hilary’s celebrates Miss Hiorns Day in support of Mental Health Day

Miss Hiorns Day took place on Friday 2nd October to mark the School’s founder.  The focus of the day was on Mental Health and Wellbeing, with links to Young Minds, the wonderful mental health charity.  Boys and girls wore their yellow PE Kit complemented with a range of yellow accessories.  Donations of £240 were collected in support of the Young Minds Charity and pupils’ awareness was successfully raised.

St Hilary’s Delivered Successful Learning During National Lockdown

The Coronavirus pandemic has affected many areas of our lives, but St Hilary’s School worked hard to ensure that the excellent levels of education and pastoral care the pupils received continued as normally as possible.

St Hilary’s 2020 Awards Ceremony Goes Virtual

At the end of the Summer Term, in which pupils at St Hilary’s children experienced remote learning and a phased return to school, the academic year was brought to a close with our prestigious annual Awards Ceremony.  In 2020 this became a pre-recorded virtual event, but the celebration, anticipation and excitement of the event was not lost in the new format.

Finalist for Independent School of the Year 2020

We are delighted to share the news that St Hilary’s has reached the finals of the ‘Independent School of the Year 2020’ in the Prep School category.

Welcome Back!

Today we have welcomed boys and girls back to the School, Nursery and Kindergarten as we open our doors for the start of the new academic year.

St Hilary’s Staff create special messages for the School Community

The staff of St Hilary’s are looking forward to the start of the Summer Term and have been thinking about their pupils and the wider St Hilary’s community over Easter.  They have created some special and fun messages to connect with their pupils in the lead up to this new term.


St Hilary’s School Collaborative Art work reaches Global Final

St Hilary’s Preparatory School pupils in Years 4 and 5 have been successful in reaching the final of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s Schools’ Global Canvas Competition with their collaborative work art installation. 

This year’s competition theme, which saw entries involving thousands of children from all over the world, is titled ‘Endangered.’ The challenge involved creating an exciting group mini-exhibition or art display interpreting this theme.

St Hilary's Launches Lego Education Innovation Studio

We are thrilled to announce the launch of `The Hive' our Lego Education Innovation Studio, which was officially launched by The Mayor of Godalming, Cllr Penny Rivers and her consort, Paul at the start of the autumn term.  We are very grateful to the Friends of St Hilary's for their generous donation to this.
