We are pleased to share the report from our latest routine inspection in February 2024. St Hilary’s was amongst some of the first independent schools to be inspected using the new framework set out by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), which came into effect in September 2023. The major change in the new inspection framework is that the report no longer provides an overall judgement or grading on the calibre of a school i.e. ‘excellent’, instead providing nuanced observations.
Under ISI’s new evaluation, ‘Framework 23’, schools now receive a comprehensive report outlining the main inspection findings, including the extent to which the school meets the standards set in relation to various criteria; ‘met’ or ‘not met’. We are delighted to announce that St Hilary’s has met the expected standards for all five focus areas assessed in the inspection:
- Leadership and management, and governance
- Quality of education, training and recreation
- Pupils’ physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Pupils’ social and economic wellbeing and contribution to society
- Safeguarding
This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our staff, the unwavering support of our parents and the outstanding achievements of the boys and girls. Together we have created an environment where every child can thrive, both academically and personally. We consistently strive to provide a high standard of education and pastoral care to our pupils, and this report reinforces that commitment.
